Miss Heather Baldwin works as a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Circle Reading Hospital in her Cataract, YAG Laser Posterior Capsulotomy, and Ophthalmology Primary Care Clinics. She also carries out eyelid surgery.
She trained at St Bartholomew’s Medical School, during which she also gained a first class BSc degree in Anthropology from the University of London.
She carried out her Ophthalmology training at Southampton Eye Hospital, St Thomas’ Hospital, London and the Oxford Eye Hospital. She was awarded a Frost Fellowship to the Rayne Institute, St Thomas’ Hospital, to fund an MD in corneal wound healing.
Following entry to the Specialist Register as a fully accredited ophthalmic surgeon in 2006, Miss Baldwin underwent extensive subspecialty training in oculoplastics. This was completed at Moorfields Eye Hospital and Western Eye Hospital, London.
Following NHS locum consultant positions at the Western Eye Hospital, The Royal Surrey Hospital, Guilford, and St Peter’s Hospital, Chertsey, she has been working as a Consultant Ophthalmologist for independent healthcare providers, seeing NHS patients.
