Mr Hassan Dashti is a Consultant Spinal Surgeon at Beaumont Hospital in Bolton.

Here, specialises in spinal problems for adults. He attended the University of Dundee Medical School and was awarded the prestigious ‘Heller Prize - Most Likely to be Best All-Round Doctor’ by the University.

He continued his post-graduate orthopaedic training in Dundee, and undertook a Spinal Surgery Fellowship in Manchester. Following this, he completed an International Fellowship at University of Missouri, Columbia, USA under Dr Gaines. He gained further experience of the complex surgical techniques practiced by leading American surgeons. He was appointed as a Spinal Consultant at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and Salford Royal Infirmary in the Complex Spine Unit. This is the referral centre for the Greater Manchester area, and one of the largest units of its kind.

Mr Dashti works in the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital which involves dealing with complex spine surgery in children, especially children with neuromuscular disorders. He undertakes spinal clinics at Leeds General Infirmary due to his expertise in this field. His adult practice in Salford encompasses all aspects of spinal surgery, including:

• Tumour and degenerative changes in the whole of the spine, including microdiscectomy, decompressions and fusion of the spine as required
