Mr Sargeant undertook prestigious fellowship training in primary and revision hip and knee replacement in Perth Australia. For this he was awarded the SCOT Zimmer Biomet Travelling Fellowship grant. He gained extensive experience in primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty. This internationally renowned post provided advanced training in patient specific instrumentation, orthopaedic planning software, navigation and robotic assisted arthroplasty.
Following his BSc (Hons) at the University of St Andrews, and medical degree at the University of Edinburgh in 2011, Mr Sargeant completed his Orthopaedic training in Scotland. He undertook a short visiting fellowship to the Endoklinik, Hamburg before completing training in 2022.
In addition to his private practice, Mr Sargeant works within NHS Tayside where he manages a broad range of musculoskeletal trauma cases and leads on infection within the orthopaedic department. He holds an honorary post with the University of Dundee and is actively involved in research, teaching, and surgical training within the East of Scotland Orthopaedic Training Programme.
Mr Sargeant is a firm believer in holistic, patient-centred care. He integrates enhanced recovery protocols, day-case surgery, and bespoke rehabilitation plans to help patients return to full function as swiftly and safely as possible. His approach focuses not only on surgical success but also on long-term mobility, independence, and overall quality of life.
Outside of work, Mr Sargeant leads an active lifestyle and is a keen cyclist, golfer, and wingfoiler. He enjoys spending time outdoors and making the most of family life with his young children.
