About Mr Hari Sugathan

Personal Profile

Mr Sugathan is a fellowship-trained Trauma and Orthopaedic Consultant with special interest in foot and ankle surgery.

He started his trauma and orthopaedic career in 2000, and completed his trauma and orthopaedic training in the North East of England. He has worked with eminent foot and ankle surgeons in Glasgow, North London and North East England. Mr Sugathan completed his Foot and Ankle fellowship in Stockport in 2015 and also completed a travelling fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery in Lyon, France in 2015.

Mr Sugathan started as a Substantive Consultant in a Trauma and Orthopaedics post at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust in September 2015. He specialises in foot and ankle, doing both elective and trauma surgery.

He is also an established trainer in foot and ankle surgery, who, along with his colleague, runs a reputed Foot and Ankle fellowship programme in Stockport. His private practice is currently based at The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle and The Highfield Hospital in Rochdale.

He offers the latest proven techniques for managing all foot and ankle disorders, including: ankle sports injuries, ankle pain and arthritis, bunions, hammertoes, Morton's neuroma, Achilles disorders and plantar fasciitis.

Mr Sugathan is committed to giving patients clear and honest advice on foot and ankle problems and its non-operative and operative management. He is passionate about his work, delivering patient care in a reassuring manner which is reflected by the consistent positive feedback he has received from his patients.

He has published his research widely in peer-reviewed journals and presented work in both national and international level conferences.

He is a preferred provider of all insurance companies as his charges fall within their guidelines.

Outside of medicine, he enjoy tennis, badminton, swimming, movies and spending time with his wife and 2 daughters.
