About Professor Hany Zayed

Personal Profile

Professor Hany Zayed qualified from medical school in 1994. He completed a master degree (MSc) in 1999 before going on to complete his MD in 2004. Professor Zayed was appointed as a vascular and endo-vascular consultant surgeon at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust in 2008.

Professor Zayed has a special interest in endo-vascular management of vascular diseases, including complex endo-vascular as well as open procedures for blocked blood vessels, especially in patients with diabetes. Professor Zayed’s areas of expertise also involve endovenous (key-hole) treatment of varicose veins as well as endovascular and open treatment of aortic and carotid artery diseases.

Professor Zayed is an internationally-recognised expert in endovascular (key-hole) procedures due to his wide range of peer-reviewed publications based on his extensive research portfolio. He is a regular invited speakers in major national and international vascular conferences. Professor Zayed is known for his tailored and patient-centred care.
