About Hany Eldeeb

Personal Profile

I am an enthusiastic and energetic oncologist who is passionate about high standards of patient care and dedicates my time to improve patient experience. I have graduated with a very high rank and thus, was appointed as a registrar in clinical oncology at University Hospital.

Having finished my MSc in 1995, I then worked as an assistant lecturer and specialist. I continued my training in London and finished my MD in 2001. I worked as a consultant oncologist and lecturer at University Hospital for 3 years and was awarded a Certificate of Distinction in April 2004. In June 2004, I was granted a STA (equivalent to CCST) and joined the Northamptonshire Centre on Oncology in October 2004 as a consultant, and I developed lot of cancer treatment services.

The hospital recognised my efforts and in 2006 I was awarded certificate of excellence and innovation with my team. I chaired Lung NSSG at LNR Cancer Network for 3 years before merging to the East Midland network.

My CPD training has been kept at the highest possible grade with an excellent appraisal outcome every year. I continue to publish scientific articles and have active participation in conferences nationally and internationally as well as leading the Oncology Directorate Audit and Teaching Meeting. I have also presented the trust in the East Midland Cancer Drug Group, chaired the chemotherapy service and taken the clinical governance lead at different periods of my career at NGH.

I was awarded professorship of Clinical Oncology in 2012 and then further chair in 2016.

I moved to Milton Keynes University Hospital with a mission to establish a cancer unit in 2014. I manged to form a team from consultants, specialist and junior doctors alongside nurses, admin, and support services at MK. This was finalised with an opening of the cancer centre in 2020 where I am now the oncology lead.

I am also holding honorary consultant post at Oxford university hospital where I do my work commitment one day a week.
