Mr Georgios Papadopoulos is a highly experienced Consultant Urological Surgeon, practising at both NHS East Kent Hospitals University Foundation Trust and Chaucer Hospital, Canterbury. He holds the roles of Clinical Lead for Urology and Endoscopic Lead for Bladder Cancer within the NHS, reflecting his commitment to clinical excellence and leadership in urological care.
Mr Papadopoulos has a specialist interest in endourology and general urology, with particular expertise in the endoscopic management of bladder cancer and benign prostate conditions. He is skilled in a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including minimally invasive treatments for enlarged prostate such as TURP. He also offers no-scalpel, no-needle vasectomy, as well as procedures for circumcision and the treatment of penile and scrotal conditions.
As a core member of the Bladder Cancer Multi-Disciplinary Team at Kent and Canterbury Hospital, Mr Papadopoulos plays a key role in delivering coordinated, evidence-based care for patients with complex urological cancers.
He completed his higher surgical training in urology in the UK and undertook subspecialist fellowship training in high-volume, leading university hospitals across London and Brighton. During this time, he developed advanced expertise in both benign and malignant urological disease management, particularly in endoscopic and minimally invasive techniques.
