Dr Wright specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders (arrhythmias), including atrial fibrillation (AF), palpitations, supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), atrial flutter, ventricular tachycardia (VT), ectopic beats, and blackouts or syncope. Patients frequently seek his expertise for private atrial fibrillation management, catheter ablation procedures, and the assessment of palpitations, dizziness, or unexplained symptoms.
He undertook cardiology and electrophysiology training in Scotland, England, and Canada, including advanced fellowship training in heart rhythm disorders with internationally recognised experts. Dr Wright founded and established the cardiac electrophysiology and ablation service at Ross Hall Hospital and currently serves as the Senior Arrhythmia and Electrophysiology Consultant, leading the development and delivery of complex ablation and device therapies within the private sector.
Dr Wright performs the full range of catheter ablation procedures using state-of-the-art technology, including Pulsed Field Ablation (PFA) for atrial fibrillation, CryoBalloon ablation, and advanced 3D electroanatomical mapping systems. He has been closely involved in the safe introduction of new ablation technologies, with a strong emphasis on governance, patient selection, and procedural safety.
Independent audits over the past decade consistently demonstrate exceptionally low complication rates in his electrophysiology practice, reflecting his commitment to precision, safety, and patient-centred care. With over 20 years’ experience in healthcare, Dr Wright is dedicated to delivering high-quality, personalised cardiology care, combining clinical excellence with clear communication and continuity of care. Dr Wright is widely recognised for delivering consultant-led, complex arrhythmia care with outstanding safety outcomes in both NHS and private practice.
