Dr Gary Wright

Dr Gary Wright graduated from the University of Aberdeen in 1999. And has trained extensively in Cardiology in Dundee, Newcastle, Plymouth and Ontario, Canada and was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital in January 2014. He is also a Consultant at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

His current practice involves all aspects of Cardiology with particular expertise in management of heart rhythm disorders (arrhythmias) including catheter ablation, implantation of pacemakers, including His bundle pacing, cardiac defibrillators (ICD) and cardiac resynchronisation therapy (CRT) for heart failure. He performs catheter ablation for all arrhythmias including Atrial Fibrillation, SVT, VT and in patients with complex Congenital Heart Conditions. He has expertise in managing people with inherited cardiac conditions.

Dr Wright and published and presented internationally on novel pacing techniques and takes part in research at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital. Dr Wright is the only Doctor in Ross Hall Hospital who is currently able to offer catheter ablation of Cardiac Rhythm problems such as Cryoballoon Ablation for Atrial Fibrillation (AF).
