About Mr Francis Raphael D'souza

Personal Profile

Dr D’souza has been a Consultant at Heatherwood and Wexham Park Hospital NHS Trust since 2010. His higher surgical training has been predominantly in the Mersey Region and the South West Region. He was awarded MPhil (University of Wales) for two years of molecular biology research in early cytogenetic changes and effects of bile acids in Barrett's oesophagus.

Following completion of his surgical training he spent 12 months doing an Advanced Colorectal Fellowship at the UCLH (London) and Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital in London. Mr D’souza is on the UK Specialist Register and is a fully accredited specialist in General and Colorectal Surgery.

Mr D’souza has a broad colorectal and general surgical practice in the NHS. His practice incorporates laparoscopic colorectal surgery for benign and malignant disease, surgery for complex abdominal problems, Pelvic reconstruction, complex Crohn's disease and abdominal wall hernias.
