Personal Profile
Mr Lam graduated in medicine among the top of his class with honours from the University of Glasgow. He subsequently completed a 2-year Medical Rotation where he obtained the Membership of the Royal College of Physicians prior to beginning training in Ophthalmology.
He undertook formal Basic Specialist Training and Higher Specialist Training in Ophthalmology in Glasgow. He subsequently embarked on an Anterior Segment Fellowship in Brighton specialising in artificial corneas, a Glaucoma Fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital, and a Cornea and a Keratorefractive Surgery Fellowship at Queen Victoria Hospital.
He completed a further Fellowship in Advanced Corneal Surgery and Eye Banking in the Netherlands Institute for Innovative Ocular Surgery, Rotterdam after winning a scholarship from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
Mr Lam's extensive training and surgical experience allows him to provide his patients with the full range of treatment options for their eye problems while using the latest surgical techniques and technological advances. His clinical interests are complex Cataract surgery, eye surface problems, Corneal transplantation using the latest modern techniques, and Glaucoma surgery.
