Dr Flaminia Bruno is an expert and compassionate Physician, specialised in Internal Medicine and Acute Medicine.
Her special interests are lifestyle medicine, functional medicine, early diagnosis of potentially serious diseases including cancer, medical education, point of care US, international cooperation.
She studied in Italy at La Sapienza University of Rome, where she graduated with Honours (2000) and specialised in Internal Medicine with Honours (2005).
She since has worked in prestigious Teaching Hospital such as St Georges hospital, King’s College Hospital and Guy’s and St Thomas Hospital, where alongside intense clinical practice, she has collaborated and produced high level research in oncological diagnosis.
She currently works at Croydon University Hospital as Acute Internal Medicine Consultant.
Dr Bruno is Honorary Senior Lecturer for the Faculty of Science and Medicine Kings College London (KCL) and She is a fellow of the higher education academy.
She holds a PGCert in Medical Education awarded by King's College University London.
She trains with passion and dedication our future doctors and nurses.
She has received several Awards Nominations for her excellent teaching.
Dr Bruno has an interest in Point of Care US.
She completed FUSIC course (focus US in Intensive Care) and continues to work with FAMUS whitin the Society of Internal Medicine.
In 2020-2021 she set up the POCUS service within the Department of Acute Medicine at King's College Hospital.
She has an interest in Lifestyle Medicine, Functional Medicine and Nutritional Therapy. She trained with the prestigious Institute of Functional Medicine (AFMCP IFM).
Dr Bruno is also a Certified Yoga Teacher and uses this skill to maintain her own mind body wellbeing and support friends, family and colleagues.
Dr Bruno has a genuine interest in international cooperation. In Italy she founded a charity called MINGHA AFRICA ONLUS. She worked in Camerun between 2003 and 2005 leading a team of volunteers trainees doctors in collaboration with the University La Sapienza, the Italian National Institute of Public Health (ISS) and the financial support of the "Conferenza Episcopale of Rome”.
Dr Bruno has a special touch in dealing with her patients, blending exceptional professionalism and a profound dedication and interest for the whole person’s wellbeing.
