Personal Profile

Dr Fiona Virgo qualified from St George’s Hospital Medical School, London. She then worked in Australia for 3 years in Emergency Medicine, Intensive Care and Helicopter Retrievals before returning to the UK to undertake surgical training in Bristol. Dr Virgo worked as a breast and general surgeon in Scotland for 7 years before returning to her roots in East Anglia and retraining as a GP.

She is currently an NHS GP in Norfolk and private GP with us at St. Edmunds Hospital, also working as a race course medical officer in horse racing and as a voluntary doctor in pre-hospital immediate care for Suffolk Accident Rescue Service.
