Dr Meurisse trained at the United Medical and Dental schools of Guys and St Thomas’ and qualified in 2003. She initially trained as a surgeon getting her Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1999, and was a specialist registrar in Urology where she first developed an interest in Andrology and men’s health. After having her first child she retrained to become a GP. She continues her interest in Andrology, and has worked in the urology department at the Royal Surrey County Hospital for the past 16 years.
More recently, in collaboration with Royal Surrey consultant physicians and Mount Alvernia physiotherapists, Dr Meurisse has helped set up the Long Covid Clinic at Mount Alvernia Hopsital.
Dr Meurisse is happy to see patients with a range of conditions and enjoys the challenges that General Practice brings. She has an interest in men’s health, in particular the male menopause or testosterone insufficiency, premature ejaculation and PSA screening.
She has an interest in long covid and assesses patients who are discussed at the regular multidisciplinary meetings. Dr Meurisse likes to look at the whole picture so that she can treat patients in a holistic manner.
As a result of close links with consultant colleagues, Dr Meurisse can refer on quickly if patients need to be seen by a specific consultant and can also refer out if the speciality is not covered in Mount Alvernia.
