About Fiona Lane

Personal Profile

Fiona has many years experience in Audiology,  taking her first role as a Trainee Audiologist at Milton Keynes Hospital in 1988 and following qualification in 1990 progressed to more senior roles.

In 1995, she made the move to Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children which allowed her to extend her skills and experience in Paediatric testing and hearing rehabilitation, she soon became Senior Audiologist at the world renown hospital.

After a further seven years, however Milton Keynes Hospital missed her abilities and invited her to return and she is now Deputy Head of Audiology, specialising in Paediatric Audiology (assessment and rehabilitation including hearing aids), along with her extensive experience of adult hearing testing.

Her clinical practice here at the Saxon Clinic offers hearing assessments for children who are developmentaly three years and older and adults.  Appoitments include detailed explanation of results and advice on managing hearing loss. She also has a close working relationship with the Ear, Nose and Throat Consultants providing a seamless experience.

She is not a hearing aid dispenser and not affiliated to any hearing aid manufacturer and is therefore able to offer impartial advice regarding hearing aids.

Fiona remains committed to her continuing professional development being a member of The Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists, ensuring her practice benefits from the latest technology and techniques.

Fiona has enjoyed the responsibility of helping develop the Audiology Department at Milton Keynes Hospital where she has been a large part of the growth and overseen countless junior Audiologists who have benefited from her mentorship.
