About Fiona Cameron

Personal Profile

Fiona qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1987, and then worked at Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham for nine years. There she gained a wealth of experience in all major areas of Orthopaedics, specialising in Musculoskeletal problems and working closely with Consultants as a Senior Physiotherapist in Orthopaedic, Spinal, Fracture, Rheumatology, Hand and Post-Operative Clinics. She set up an Acute Sports Injury Clinic in the Accident and Emergency Department and a Research Project into treatment of ‘whiplash’ injuries.

Since then Fiona has worked in the Private Sector at Nuffield Hospitals and Physiotherapy Clinics in Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire, before joining BMI The Park Hospital in 2020.

Fiona firmly believes that a thorough assessment followed by an empathetic, clear explanation of the nature of your problem, hands on treatment combined with user friendly exercises are the key to effective Physiotherapy.

Before qualifying as a Physiotherapist in 1987, she took an Honours Degree in Physiology at Birmingham University which proves very useful in understanding the nature of soft tissue injuries and the healing process.

Fiona's enjoyment of Half Marathon running was followed by a  passion for Rock Climbing over 15 years. She now keeps active managing livestock on a smallholding.
