Personal Profile

Mr Iranpour Boroujeni is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic surgeon specialising in management of hip and knee disorders. His practice involves hip and knee replacement, management of all aspects of soft tissue knee injuries in particular ligament reconstruction, as well as joint preservation, and revision knee replacement. He is also experienced in arthroscopic meniscus surgery, computer assisted knee surgery and kneecap surgery.

After finishing medical school, Mr Iranpour Boroujeni completed a PhD in Musculoskeletal Surgery – specifically in Patellofemoral joint at Imperial College London. His expertise spans performing Patellofemoral surgery for pain and instability. He trained on the prestigious London Northwest Thames rotation and was a NIHR clinical lecturer during my trauma and Orthopaedic training. Following being awarded the fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England FRCS (Tr&Orth) in 2018, wherein he completed two lower limb fellowship at Guy's Hospital and the Royal Free Trust.

He is an esteemed academic Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon who uses evidence-based healthcare to provide best quality of care. He has a strong research background with over 40 peer reviewed papers and book chapters. He was also awarded the prestigious Patellofemoral Research Excellence award by the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine. Mr Iranpour Boroujeni is also an honorary senior clinical lecturer at Imperial College.

He has a particular interest in knee ligament and meniscus surgery, anterior knee pain and instability and have been leading on day case/ ambulatory joint replacement surgery pathways to improve patient experience and outcomes.
