Dr Eric Holroyd is a Consultant Cardiologist in Cheshire, Stoke and Greater Manchester, specialising in the investigation of palpitations, breathlessness, chest pain and dizziness. He is a high volume PCI (stenting) operator at the University Hospital of the North Midlands.
Dr Holroyd studied Medicine at The University of Cambridge before training at centres which include: The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, The University Hospital of the North Midlands and The Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, USA.
He performed cutting-edge research at The Mayo Clinic and presented his work at international conferences in both the USA and Europe, as well as publishing it in international journals. He received a doctorate from The University of Cambridge for this work.
His areas of expertise include: the management of angina and heart attacks, high blood pressure, valvular heart disease and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). He receives referrals from across the north of England for his expertise in POTS and can arrange same day consultation, investigation, including tilt testing, and treatment. He has international contacts and recently published in the field, with on-going research and support network advice.
