About Miss Emma Blackman

Personal Profile

Emma is a Paediatric Physiotherapist at Hampshire Clinic in Basingstoke, providing support for babies, children and young people with a range of developmental, neurological, respiratory and musculoskeletal needs.

She graduated from Bournemouth University in 2021 and has worked in paediatric physiotherapy since 2022. During this time, Emma has gained experience across a variety of specialist paediatric services, developing her knowledge and skills in supporting children at different stages of their growth and development.

Her clinical experience includes neurodevelopment, acute neurology, neuromuscular conditions, respiratory care, musculoskeletal physiotherapy, neonatology and developmental services for infants and young children. This broad background enables her to support children with a variety of needs, from early developmental concerns to more complex neurological and physical conditions.

Emma has experience working with infants and children to support their movement, physical development and functional abilities. She understands that every child develops differently and that physiotherapy should be tailored to their individual needs, abilities and goals. Her approach focuses on helping children develop their skills, improve their movement and participate more confidently in everyday activities.

Through her work across specialist paediatric services, Emma has developed an understanding of the different factors that can affect a child's development, mobility and overall wellbeing. She recognises the importance of working closely with families and carers, helping them understand their child's needs and supporting them with strategies to encourage progress outside physiotherapy sessions.

At Hampshire Clinic, Emma is committed to providing individualised care in a supportive and child-friendly environment. She aims to help children reach their potential by supporting their physical development, independence and participation in daily life, while ensuring families feel involved and supported throughout their physiotherapy journey.
