Dr Emily Thompson qualified from Leicester Medical School in 1995. During her speciality training in General Practice she gained experience in a wide breadth of specialities including obstetrics and gynaecology, accident and emergency, paediatrics and palliative care . Dr Thompson has been a practising as a GP since 2001, and continues to work in a variety of different GP settings including both NHS and private General Practice, Out of Hours and during the covid pandemic as a Clinical Lead for local covid vaccination clinics.
Dr Thompson has worked in Private General Practice and Health Screening at the Manor Hospital since 2009.
