Personal Profile

Mr Laugharne qualified in medicine from the University of Birmingham in 2005.

After completing his general orthopaedic training in Birmingham in 2017, he undertook further specialist fellowship training in lower limb arthroplasty (hip and knee replacement surgery) at the Avon Orthopaedic Centre in Bristol. Alongside his NHS role, Mr Laugharne also provides private consultations and performs hip and knee replacement surgery at Droitwich Spa Hospital.

Mr Laugharne has a particular interest in hip and knee replacement surgery. He uses a range of modern surgical techniques and implants, carefully selected to match each patient’s individual condition, lifestyle, and needs.

His focus is on improving mobility, reducing pain, and helping patients return to daily activities with greater comfort and confidence.

Mr Laugharne is actively involved in the training and education of junior doctors. He teaches on the Birmingham Orthopaedic Training Programme and supports the development of future orthopaedic surgeons.

He is committed to providing clear, honest communication and evidence-based care. He works closely with patients to ensure they understand their diagnosis and treatment options, supporting shared decision-making throughout their care journey.
