Mr Laugharne qualified from the University of Birmingham in 2005. After completing his general orthopaedic training in Birmingham in 2017, he undertook further specialist training in lower limb arthroplasty (hip and knee replacements) at the Avon Orthopaedic Centre in Bristol, focusing particularly on complex and revision (re-do) hip surgery.
He began working as an Orthopaedic Consultant in 2018 and took up his position at The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust in June 2019. Mr Laugharne also provides private consultations and performs hip and knee replacement surgery at Droitwich Spa Hospital, where he is part of the highly experienced orthopaedic team.
He has a special interest in hip and knee replacement surgery and uses a range of techniques and implants tailored to each patient’s individual needs.
Mr Laugharne is actively involved in the training of junior doctors and teaches on the Birmingham Orthopaedic Training Programme.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and plays golf and tennis when time allows.
