Dr Haddad is a consultant paediatrician with special interest in allergic and respiratory disorders. He has been leading the respiratory and Allergic disorders services at St Peter’s NHS Hospital in Surrey for the last 20 years.
He completed his undergraduate medical training in the previous USSR and completed part of his paediatric training in Jordan and Scotland before being elected as a consultant paediatrician in London in 1997.
Dr Haddad held an honorary consultant status at the Royal Brompton Hospital and at St Thomas Hospital in London. He also holds an honorary Senior Lecturer post at Imperial College London. He has authored several publications, including several chapters and edited a textbook in Paediatrics. Dr Haddad is actively involved in research and teaching and has several articles published on anaphylaxis, nut allergy & diagnostic allergy tests.
Combining general paediatric experience with special interest in allergies and respiratory disorders, Dr Haddad is able to provide a comprehensive service, addressing the child’s well-being and multiple health needs as one whole package of care, minimising the need for cross referrals and increasing the chances of finding out a unifying diagnosis.
Having been exposed to multiple healthcare systems, in different countries and with different levels of resource provisions, Dr Haddad developed a deep insight into the importance of the patient/ family- doctor relationship, an appreciation of the paramount importance of listening to the patients and families and an understanding that it is the information the child and family have, through living with the health condition and experiencing its symptoms, is what almost always holds the key to the diagnosis and to identifying the underlying causes.
Dr Haddad’s approach involves a thorough and meticulous gathering of information. This will be experienced from the first encounter with Dr Haddad in clinic, with detailed history taking and clinical assessment. The realistic understanding of what laboratory tests can and can’t do leads to judicious use of tests and procedures and improves the ability to reach the correct and relevant diagnoses in the quickest and safest possible way. A clear, concise and logically justified plan of action will be presented at the end of the consultation and the family’s suggestions and views will be respected and taken on board.
Dr Haddad can see and consult on children of all ages.

My daughter has been under the care of Dr Diab Haddad for 2.5y now. Dr Haddad was the first doctor to genuinely listen to my concerns after I had been dismissed for 6m by our GP. It is because of him we were finally able to diagnose that my daughter has reflux and dairy allergies and these were contributing to persistent chest issues. It’s the first time I felt heard by a medical professional about my daughter.
Our patient experience has continued to be exceptional. Always well cared for and he makes my daughter feel so comfortable that she looks forward to seeing him
January 2022 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Dr Haddad has seen both my little ones for reflux and allergies. Not only is he is a fantastic doctor but he is supportive and explains things clearly and in a common sense manner. He got me and my Husband through a very difficult time with my son Henry. Thank you once again, we couldn’t be more grateful. Previously I felt not listened to when my son was screaming in agony after every feed, Dr Haddad listened carefully to my concerns and within a couple of weeks with Dr Haddad’s care he was a happy smiling baby. His ongoing support has been immeasurable.
Dr Haddad is compassionate, thorough and knowledgeable. His insight and determination has led to the diagnosis of particularly complex issues. I would wholeheartedly recommend him and the hospital team.

I have been taking my daughter to see Dr Haddad for around 10 months now for CMPA. During this time we have received amazing care in a clean safe hospital. Dr Haddad has gone above and beyond to make sure my daughter has the best care possible. We are always able to get an appointment, even it if means squeezing us in to a booked up day. Care doesn't stop when you leave the hospital. Dr Haddad will always email or call me if I make contact with any concerns. Many will not do this and will only speak to you during your appointment. Knowing support is available should I have any immediate concerns or if I forgot to ask a question during the appointment is of great help. I cannot fault Dr Haddad in any way. His knowledge and expertise are extensive. Dr Haddad was able to diagnose Gianotti Crosti Syndrome when 2 GP's had wrongly diagnosed my daughter and assured me it was Chicken Pox. Thank you to Dr Haddad for all the help and support we have received. My family are so grateful to him.
