About Mrs Deepali Sinha

Personal Profile

Mrs Sinha is a highly experienced Consultant Gynaecologist with a specialist interest in Urogynaecology and Advanced Laparoscopic Gynaecological Surgery. With over 15 years of consultant-level practice within the NHS, she is dedicated to providing expert, patient-centred care for women with a wide range of benign gynaecological and pelvic floor conditions.

Mrs Sinha completed her postgraduate specialist training within the West Midlands Deanery in 2006. During her training, she developed a strong interest in the diagnosis and management of female urinary incontinence and pelvic floor disorders, leading her to undertake further specialist experience as a Clinical Fellow in Urogynaecology. She has been working as an NHS Consultant since 2008 and has established an excellent reputation for clinical excellence, innovation, and surgical expertise.

Before taking up her current appointment in London, Mrs Sinha played a pivotal role in developing women’s health services at Alexandra Hospital, Redditch. She was instrumental in establishing the hospital’s Urogynaecology service and leading the development of its advanced laparoscopic surgery programme. Her work helped expand access to minimally invasive surgical treatments, improving outcomes and recovery times for patients across the region.

Mrs Sinha has extensive expertise in advanced laparoscopic surgery and regularly performs complex minimally invasive procedures. Her practice includes total and subtotal laparoscopic hysterectomy, laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis, Myomectomy, treatment of ovarian cysts and other ovarian pathology, and sophisticated pelvic reconstructive procedures. She has particular expertise in the laparoscopic management of pelvic organ prolapse, including laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy, colposuspension and laparoscopic hysteropexy, helping women achieve long-lasting symptom relief while preserving quality of life.

Recognised as one of the leading specialists in her field, Mrs Sinha has been among the relatively small number of consultants performing highly complex laparoscopic gynaecological procedures including vNOTE Hysterectomy and other procedures. In addition to her clinical work, she has been actively involved in training and mentoring fellow consultants, sharing her expertise and supporting the development of advanced laparoscopic surgical skills within the specialty.

In addition to her clinical practice, Mrs Sinha holds several senior leadership positions within the NHS. She is the Gynaecology Clinical Lead at Newham Hospital, where she plays a key role in the strategic development and delivery of gynaecological services, ensuring high standards of patient care and service excellence.

Mrs Sinha also serves as the Appraisal Lead for Barts Health NHS Trust, supporting the professional development, governance, and appraisal processes for medical staff across one of the largest NHS trusts in the country. Through this role, she is actively involved in maintaining quality standards, promoting continuous professional development, and fostering a culture of clinical excellence.

Mrs Sinha is committed to delivering the highest standards of care, combining technical excellence with a compassionate and personalised approach. She works closely with each patient to develop tailored treatment plans, ensuring that women are fully informed and supported throughout their healthcare journey.
