Dr Deepak Goyal is a highly experienced Consultant Interventional Cardiologist providing expert diagnosis, investigation and treatment for a wide range of heart conditions. He sees private patients at Droitwich Spa Hospital and has extensive experience in both general and interventional cardiology.
He treats patients with coronary artery disease, high blood pressure (hypertension), heart failure, high cholesterol (hyperlipidaemia), heart valve disease and chest pain. He also specialises in coronary angiography and minimally invasive procedures to restore blood flow to the heart.
Dr Goyal is highly skilled in complex coronary interventions and has extensive experience using advanced imaging and treatment techniques, including intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), pressure wire assessment, aspiration thrombectomy, laser thrombectomy, rotational atherectomy and distal embolic protection devices.
After qualifying in medicine in India, Dr Goyal completed his specialist cardiology training in the West Midlands and was awarded his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in 2011. He has since held Consultant Interventional Cardiologist posts at both Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and Worcester Royal Hospital.
Throughout his career, Dr Goyal has performed more than 4,000 coronary interventions, achieving consistently excellent clinical outcomes. He has published research in a range of cardiology journals and has played an active role in training the next generation of cardiologists and interventional cardiology specialists.
Dr Goyal offers consultations in English, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu, helping patients feel comfortable discussing their care in their preferred language.
