Miss Deborah Green is a UK-trained Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with over a decade of experience as an NHS consultant. A local to the area, Deborah was born at The Canadian Red Cross Hospital in Taplow and spent her early childhood in Maidenhead before moving north to Oxfordshire, where she completed her education in Oxford.
Her specialist training in plastic surgery took place in London, including prestigious centres such as St Thomas’, St Georges’, and the Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead — famously associated with Archibald McIndoe, a pioneer in the field. Deborah further honed her expertise through fellowships at the Melanoma Institute in Sydney and St Thomas’ Hospital, London.
With a strong academic background, Deborah dedicated two years to research towards an MD in Melanoma Immunotherapy at St Georges’ University of London. During this period, she contributed as a sub-investigator in numerous international melanoma trials and presented her research both nationally and internationally.
Currently, Deborah is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, where she serves as the Skin Cancer Lead and Deputy Cancer Lead for the Trust. Her specialist interests lie in skin cancer resection and reconstructive surgery, though she has extensive experience across all areas of plastic surgery. Known for her patient-centred approach, Deborah is admired for her excellent communication skills and approachable manner, earning respect from colleagues and patients alike.
Deborah can see and consult on children of all ages. Whilst most young children can be managed without surgery, when it is required, she undertakes this at The Princess Margaret Hospital for children aged 3 and above. Miss Green also offers paediatric plastic surgery as a specialty treatment at Princess Margaret Hospital.
Outside of her professional life, Deborah is a mother of three and enjoys a variety of hobbies including baking—having even crafted her sister’s wedding cake—gardening, upholstery, skiing, and horse riding. These activities keep her grounded and balanced alongside her demanding career.
