Mr David McKenna is a highly experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon whose main clinical practice is based at Droitwich Spa Hospital. He also works within the NHS at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, providing specialist orthopaedic care for patients across the region.

He studied pre-clinical medicine at the University of Oxford and completed his clinical medical training at the University of London, graduating in 2002 with the Esther Frances White Memorial Prize and a Distinction in Surgery.

He undertook his Basic Surgical Training on the Cambridge Training Programme at Addenbrooke’s Hospital before progressing to Higher Surgical Training on the Percival Pott (St Bartholomew’s Hospital) Training Programme. During this time, he gained extensive experience across several leading centres, including St Bartholomew’s and The Royal London Hospitals, the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, and the Norfolk & Norwich Hospital.

His clinical expertise includes primary hip and knee replacement surgery, partial knee replacement, knee preservation procedures, knee arthroscopy, revision hip and knee arthroplasty, metastatic bone disease, and general trauma surgery. He is particularly experienced in managing complex joint reconstruction cases, aiming to restore mobility, reduce pain, and improve long-term patient outcomes.
