Personal Profile

Mr Armstrong is an Orthopaedically trained Consultant Hand and Wrist Surgeon with an NHS practice based at the Pulvertaft Hand Centre in Derby.

Mr Armstrong undertook his undergraduate training at the University of Nottingham followed by Surgical Training in the East Midlands. He undertook his time in research under Professor Frank Burke at the Pulvertaft Hand Centre in Derby.

Mr Armstrong was awarded a National Fellowship in Oxford where he worked at both the John Radcliffe and the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre.

Mr Armstrong has a national teaching profile, leading and delivering courses from the Pulvertaft Hand Centre and is also invited to speak nationally.  He is the undergraduate lead for hand surgery teaching at Derby.
