About Craig Howard Macmillan

Personal Profile

Having qualified from Leeds in 1981 and obtaining MRCP in 1984, Dr Macmillan started his speciality training in Clinical Oncology in 1985 in Leeds, and susequently as Registrar to the Middlesex and Mount Vernon Hospitals between 1986 and 1989. He was then Senior Registrar in Nottingham, before being appointed as Consultant Clinical Oncologist in Northampton in 1992. Since 1992 Dr Macmillan has also undertaken a weekly clinic at Kettering General Hospital.

During his time as a Consultant the range and variety of treatments for people with cancer has expanded considerably, and Dr Macmillan has been committed to bringing these developments to patients in Northamptonshire. His research interests centre on participation in multicentre national and international clinical trials.

His specialist areas of cancer treatment are Breast Cancer, Colorectal Cancer and other digestive cancers (Oesophagus, Pancreas, Stomach), Lymphoma Radiotherapy and sarcoma.
