Personal Profile

Dr Bernstein is a General Paediatrician with a special interest in Paediatric Allergy. His undergraduate medical training (MBCHB) was done in Cape Town, South Africa and he subsequently completed his Paediatric training (MRCP, MRCPCH) in London. Along the way, Dr Bernstein spent a fellowship year in Sydney Children's Hospital, Australia, gaining further experience.

He is happy to see children from birth onwards at his private practice, where he deals with a wide range of medical concerns including:

  • Allergy
  • Constipation and diarrhoea
  • Growth and feeding concerns
  • Headaches
  • Reflux
  • Urine infections
  • Asthma and wheeze
  • Eczema and other skin concerns
  • Fits, faints and funny turns
  • Recurrent infections
  • Abdominal pain
  • Unusual gaits

Dr Bernstein is also able to provide a general check-up or ‘MOT’ if you have any concerns regarding your child’s health and would simply like peace of mind. 

His consultations are child centred and arranged on an appointment basis. However, he is happy to see patients on an emergency basis if required. Dr Bernstein's consultations are conducted in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Dr Bernstein has 2 young daughters to keep him on his toes. In his spare time, he enjoys swimming, cycling, motor bikes and cooking up a storm.
