Mr Wayne qualified from Birmingham University Medical School in 1989 and following experience in Liverpool, Birmingham, London and Australia completed his specialist Obstetrics and Gynaecology training in the London (South West) Deanery based at St Georges Hospital.

Mr Wayne has been a Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Wycombe and Stoke Mandeville Hospitals since 2002. He has Special Interests in Minimal Access Gynaecological Surgery including management of heavy periods (Menorrhagia) and pelvic pain/endometriosis as well as Gynaecological Ultrasound and Early Pregnancy problems.

He introduced the Early Pregnancy Unit at Wycombe Hospital and is the Lead for this area at Bucks Healthcare NHS Trust. For over 10 years he was also the Lead for Clinical Governance providing him with a comprehensive insight into the problems patients can experience, thus allowing him to develop a very high level of patient care.

Mr Wayne completed his Speciality Training with time spent in the world famous departments of Professor K Nicolaides (Obstetric Ultrasound-Kings College Hospital, London), Professor Tom Bourne (Gynaecology Ultrasound-St George’s Hospital, London) and Professor Chris Sutton (Laparoscopic Surgery-Royal Surrey Hospital, Guildford).

During over 15 years of private practice and almost 30 years working for the NHS Mr Wayne has developed a wealth of expertise caring for women with Gynaecological problems. He developed a special interest in Hysteroscopic and Laparoscopic Surgery for treatment of heavy menstrual bleeding and pelvic pain, specifically Endometriosis. He is also able to incorporate his own expertise in Gynaecological Ultrasound to provide a more comprehensive and seamless package of care.
