Charles Carter qualified in Liverpool in 1986. and completed FRCS training in 1990. Following further training in General and Vascular surgery, he undertook research at Southampton.

He was appointed as a Consultant Urological Surgeon in May 1998, following specialised training in oncological surgery, including radical cystectomy and orthotopic neobladder procedures.

His areas of expertise include the management of kidney, bladder, prostate, and testicular cancers.

Since 2005, he has been performing laparoscopic kidney surgery and is skilled in all forms of endoscopic surgery for conditions involving the prostate, bladder, and stone disease.

Additionally, he is highly experienced in scrotal surgery, including vasectomy reversal and epididymal procedure.
