Mr Bingham trained in Dundee, Bristol and Toronto. He has been a Consultant ENT Surgeon for 28 years in Glasgow. Mr Bingham has a large paediatric and adult audiology and ENT practice in the South of Glasgow.

He is the past chair of the Intercollegiate FRCS Examination in Otolaryngology and the immediate past president of ENT UK. His contributions as president of ENT UK concerned ENT departmental standards, consultant education, surgeon revalidation and how to keep a surgeon “emergency safe."

Mr Bingham is the author of 5 textbooks and has contributed 6 chapters to other textbooks. He has written over 45 peer reviewed journal articles and currently reviews submitted articles for the Journal of Laryngology and Otology.

Mr Bingham consults on Tuesdays. Initial consultations are 30 minutes; review consultations are 15 minutes.

Mr Bingham only offers consultations and diagnostics. He is no longer performing surgical procedures.

You are welcome to bring a relative or friend to an initial consultation if you wish. Shortly after your consultation (usually within a week) you will receive a letter from Mr Bingham (copy to your GP) outlining the outcome of your consultation including information on your individual case management. In certain conditions, you may also receive a supportive information sheet.

Understanding your ENT problem in the context of your life, social circumstances and interests is an important aspect of the consultation.

At a child’s consultation, Mr Bingham is likely to spend the first few minutes mostly speaking to the child.
