Dr Bhavni Shah is a highly experienced and compassionate Consultant Paediatrician dedicated to providing high-quality, family-centred care for babies, children, and young people. With over 15 years of paediatric experience across leading hospitals in the UK and internationally, she understands how worrying it can be when a child is unwell and aims to make every family feel listened to, supported, and reassured, whilst delivering the highest standard of safe, evidence-based care tailored to each child’s individual needs.

Dr Shah graduated from the University of Leeds School of Medicine with an MBChB and is a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH).

She has worked as a Consultant Paediatrician at both Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust and London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust, caring for children with a wide range of acute and long-term conditions. Dr Shah has extensive experience in paediatric emergency medicine, acute paediatrics, neonatology, and paediatric allergy, managing both common childhood illnesses and more complex medical conditions.

Dr Shah regularly assesses and treats children with asthma, wheeze, bronchiolitis, recurrent coughs and respiratory infections, allergies and anaphylaxis, eczema, abdominal pain, fever and infections, feeding concerns, rashes, headaches, constipation, safeguarding concerns, adolescent health issues, and many other general paediatric problems. She also has significant expertise in caring for acutely unwell children, including those requiring high-dependency or intensive care support.

Dr Shah has a particular interest in paediatric allergy and is currently completing an MSc in Allergy at Imperial College London. She supports children with food allergies, allergic reactions, eczema, hay fever, urticaria, and allergy-related concerns, helping families better understand and confidently manage their child’s condition.

Families often describe Dr Shah as approachable, kind, and thorough. She believes strongly in taking the time to listen carefully to parents and young people, explaining medical concerns clearly, and involving families in decisions about their child’s care. Her aim is always to provide safe, evidence-based treatment while creating a calm and supportive environment for both children and parents.

Alongside her clinical work, Dr Shah is actively involved in patient safety, teaching, and research, helping to improve paediatric services and standards of care for children locally and nationally. She is passionate about delivering holistic care that supports not only a child’s physical health, but also their emotional wellbeing and development.
