About Mr Baqar Ali
Personal Profile
Mr Ali has been a surgical trainee in the UK since 1985. He received a certificate of specialist training in 2004 and started his Consultant job at James Cook Hospital in October 2004, followed by working for the Pennine Acute Trust, where he has been since April 2005.
He has been an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh for over 10 years, and is also a member of the faculty who appoint national SpR’s in General and Vascular Surgery.
He has and still does publish several papers and abstracts in peer-reviewed surgical journals.
Mr Ali specialises in Laparoscopic General and Colorectal Surgery for both benign and cancer cases. He is also a trained endoscopist for both upper and lower GI Tract, also undertaking endoscopic surgical procedures.
