Mr Azeem Ahmed is a Consultant in Trauma & Orthopaedics within the NHS, with a specialist interest in all aspects of lower limb arthroplasty. He has extensive expertise in both cemented and uncemented total hip replacements, total knee replacements, and partial knee replacements. His practice also includes the management of complex trauma and a wide range of general orthopaedic conditions.

After completing his medical degree and postgraduate training in India in 1997, Mr Ahmed continued his specialist orthopaedic training in the UK, working in high-volume centres in London and Manchester. Through this rigorous training, he developed advanced skills in complex trauma care, joint reconstruction, and arthroplasty surgery.

Mr Ahmed provides comprehensive orthopaedic care, offering procedures such as joint replacement, knee arthroscopy, meniscal surgery, fracture fixation, and a range of injections including steroid, hyaluronic acid, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP). His primary clinical interests lie in hip and knee replacement surgery and the treatment of degenerative conditions such as osteoarthritis and avascular necrosis of the hip.

He is committed to a patient-centred, evidence-based approach. Mr Ahmed focuses on clear communication to ensure that each patient understands their condition and treatment options, enabling truly shared decision-making. His goal is to deliver the highest standard of care and achieve the best possible outcomes for every patient.

Mr Ahmed has published research papers and presented at national and international conferences. Mr Ahmed is an active member of the British Orthopaedic Association, the Indian Orthopaedic Association, and the British Indian Orthopaedic Society. He speaks English, Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi.
