Personal Profile

Mr Ayman Abdelkader has been practicing obstetrics and gynaecology for almost 20 years, The last 10 years of his practice were exclusive for the NHS.

He is currently a consultant gynaecologist at Homerton University Hospital and works with the endometriosis BSGE accredited centre at Homerton. His main passion is for providing excellent care for women with pelvic pain and endometriosis at different stages of life including management of superficial and deep endometriosis, fertility preserving surgeries for women with endometriosis and caring for women with deep endometriosis in pregnancy.

Mr Abdelkader graduated at Ain Shams University, Egypt in 2004 and completed his specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology at the university Hospital of Ain Shams, which is one of the largest tertiary hospitals in Egypt. He worked there as a consultant and as a clinical lecturer after completing his MD in 2013.

Mr Ayman Abdelkader joined the NHS in 2016 and completed the MRCOG membership in 2018 and then focused his training on benign gynaecology and advanced laparoscopy, having completed the RCOG advanced training in both benign gynaecology and outpatient hysteroscopy and then completed two years of fellowship in endometriosis and advanced laparoscopy.

Certified as a minimal invasive gynaecologist by the European society of gynecological endoscopy (ESGE), He is a regular faculty member and examiner of the GESEA course and certification exams held by the British society of gynecological endoscopy (BSGE) 

Clinical Interests

At his Hospital, Mr Abdelkader runs a weekly endometriosis clinic, benign gynaecology clinic, and outpatient hysteroscopy clinic as well as regular operating lists and day stay unit lists. 

Experienced and skilled in managing complex surgeries and has an excellent record of advanced gynaecological procedures. This includes open and laparoscopic hysterectomy, open and laparoscopic Myomectomy laparoscopic ovarian cystectomy, laparoscopic excision and ablation of endometriosis, diagnostic laparoscopy, diagnostic, and operative hysteroscopy.
