Clinical Interests

General Cardiology – investigation and management of cardiac conditions, including assessment for ischaemic heart disease, valvular heart disease, palpitations, and breathlessness.

Procedures undertaken: Coronary angiography, Percutaneous coronary intervention (coronary angioplasty and stenting). Treatment of chronic total occlusion (CTO). Dr. Krishnamurthy specialises in the use of radial artery access (via the wrist) for PCI, which is associated with better outcomes for patients, due to reduced risk of bleeding compared to femoral access (via the groin), with >95% of his PCI undertaken via the radial artery (National Average 89.6%).
