Mr Aroon Baskaradas MBBS, MEd, MBA, FRCS (Tr & Orth) is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon with nearly two decades of experience, specialising in restoring hip and knee function. Trained in the UK and a graduate of Imperial College, he honed his expertise through the prestigious North West Thames rotation, where he earned the first prize at the annual Lipman Kessel meeting in his final year. Even after completing his training, Mr Baskaradas continued to advance his skills, securing double internationally recognised fellowships in orthopaedics.
Patients choose Mr Baskaradas for his compassionate and personalised approach to care. He is dedicated to treating each patient with the same level of attention and respect he would give to his own family, ensuring they feel safe, informed, and fully supported throughout their treatment. Mr Baskaradas only uses the highest quality implants. His bespoke care pathways are tailored to each patient, underpinned by advanced imaging techniques and physiotherapy-led rehabilitation, ensuring the best possible outcome.
Mr Baskaradas is dedicated to treating a broad range of patients, from elderly individuals to retired professionals, busy parents, and those with gym or sports-related injuries. He is particularly focused on providing reassurance to patients who are unsure about surgery, as well as serving underrepresented communities, including those of South Asian heritage.
Working within a multidisciplinary team of consultant anaesthetists and specialist physiotherapists, Mr Baskaradas provides selective, personalised care rather than focusing on volume, ensuring rapid access and individual attention for each patient.
In addition to his clinical work, Mr Baskaradas is a lecturer in orthopaedics at Brunel Medical School and stays current with the latest medical advancements through regular journal reviews and continuing professional development. He is a named author on 12 peer-reviewed papers and three books and mentors future surgeons as Clinical & Educational Supervisor at London North West NHS Trust.
Mr Baskaradas is a long-standing member of the British Orthopaedic Association and GMC, and is recognised by Bupa, AXA PPP, Aviva, Allianz, Vitality, and WPA. He offers consultations in both English and Tamil and welcomes self-funding patients.
Away from the operating theatre, Mr Baskaradas enjoys walking, cycling, and swimming, and has personal experience overcoming injuries. As both a parent and son, he understands the frustration of being sidelined by pain and the importance of caring for loved ones. He also enjoys music, keeping his dexterity sharp on the PS5, reading, and watching sci-fi movies about robots - though he assures you that for your surgery, he’ll be the one doing the work!
Mr. Baskaradas’ Promise:
“I look forward to meeting you and will treat you with the same care I’d want for my own family. Whether surgery, targeted physiotherapy, or simple reassurance is right for you, we’ll decide together—and get you back to what you love sooner.
