He graduated from India and then moved to the UK for advanced urological training. He was selected for the Royal College sponsored training scheme. He conducted research into ‘Thermotherapy for Prostate’ as his thesis for the prestigious masters degree in urology from University of London. He started the prostate mapping service and is one of the leading practitioners of template biopsies at the West Suffolk Hospital. As a member of the multidisciplinary team, in addition to surgery he also offers radical radiotherapy, brachytherapy, chemotherapy and active surveillance.
Anup also offers a ‘no-scalpel’ technique for vasectomies. He is an active member of the British Association of Urological Surgeons. Anup stays up-to-date with urological developments and is able to offer the full range of urological treatment. He maintains an interest in academics, having published in several national and international journals.
