About Mr Antonio Belloso

Personal Profile

Mr Antonio Belloso is a Consultant ENT surgeon offering comprehensive adult and paediatric service in Blackburn, Burnley, and the Ribble Valley.

After graduating from the University Autonoma of Barcelona (Spain), he went onto complete his registrar training throughout the Merseyside and North West of England. He was then appointed substantive ENT consultant in East Lancashire NHS Trust (ELHT) in 2008.

Mr Belloso undertakes assessment and treatment for all aspects of general ear, nose and throat conditions but also has a specialist interest in cancers of the head and neck as well as thyroid and parathyroid disorders.

He is the regional Lancashire lead for Head & Neck oncology, Clinical Lead for H&N oncology in ELHT, and Clinical Lead for thyroid cancer in ELHT. He is a core member of the regional H&N and Thyroid MDT teams. In addition, he is on East Lancashire Cancer Board, playing a vital role in improving cancer care across the region.

Education is a major part of Mr Belloso’s interest and he is responsible for supporting the training of the doctors for tomorrow in both medical schools and for those specialising in ENT. He is an honorary senior lecturer for Edge Hill University as well as educational supervisor for ENT training doctors.

Outside of work, Mr Belloso spends his time with his wife and two children. He enjoys outside activities, socialising with friends and travelling.
