About Anna Sharrock

Personal Profile

Anna Sharrock has a primary clinical role as a consultant vascular surgeon at Frimley Park and Basingstoke and North Hants Hospitals. She undertook her undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at Imperial College London and postgraduate clinical training within the Wessex and Oxford deaneries. She has additional clinical experience in transplant and paediatric surgery, and leads the vascular access service at Frimley Park Hospital. Her secondary role is at the Royal London Hospital, where she practices as an honorary consultant trauma surgeon.

She is a serving member of the defence medical services, and is the regional Military Associate Dean. She has recently demitted as Frimley’s Royal College Surgical Tutor, but continues to be actively involved in education and training locally and nationally. She contributes to vascular surgery higher speciality exam writing as a member of the intercollegiate panel of question writers. 

She has undertaken operational deployments within Europe, Asia and the Middle East, gained ballistic trauma experience in Jamaica and taught on behalf of surgical charities in Ethiopia and Rwanda. Since consultant appointment she has been an invited speaker to national vascular conferences, and continues to teach on trauma and vascular courses.

Miss Sharrock’s interests cover the breadth of vascular surgery. She regularly performs endovenous treatments, sclerotherapy and microsclerotherapy for varicose veins and thread veins in the private sector.
