Dr Mills attended Cambridge University (St Catherine's College) for her pre-clinical training and St Thomas' Hospital London for her clinical training.

After SHO jobs in London, she trained in Radiology in Manchester before starting a Consultant job at The Royal Bolton Hospital in 2000.

Her specialities are breast and gynaecology imaging, and she participates in the national research study into Breast MR (COMICE study). Dr Mills also performs musculoskeletal imaging (MR scans).
