About Mr Anees Gulfraz

Personal Profile

Anees graduated top of his class from the University of Salford. After graduating he worked in three major trusts across the country completing rotations as a specialist within: Trauma and Orthopaedic, Plastic surgery, Hand therapy, Chronic pain management, Spinal surgery and Occupational Health.  

Anees currently works across the wards, outpatients, hand therapy and within our Physiotherapy led consultant clinics. He is a specialist within musculoskeletal health, able to: assess, treat, refer for imaging, and administer therapeutic injections. Anees's specialist interest are within the hand, spine and temporomandibular disorders: he is registered with the ACPTMD.  

Alongside his clinical work, Anees has contributed to research within both clinical and academic settings. He has worked with specialists from York Medical School investigating skeletal muscle cell physiology and has also been involved in research examining gait analysis and plyometric performance at the University of Salford.
Anees has extensive experience supporting athletes across a variety of sports, having worked pitch-side in multiple sporting environments. He additionally holds a Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage and is RockTape accredited in both Kinesiology Taping and Functional Movement Taping.
His breadth of experience, advanced clinical skills, and commitment to evidence-based practice enable him to deliver comprehensive, high-quality care across a diverse range of musculoskeletal and rehabilitation settings.
