Mr Chetwood consults on adult urological conditions and has a special interest in reconstructive urology. His extensive training means he is comfortable consulting on most adult urological problems and paediatric foreskin issues. He is a core member of the urology MDT at Frimley Park and is the lead for testicular cancer. He regularly sees patients with urological cancer, lower urinary tract symptoms, inguinal-scrotal problems, urinary tract infections, stones and incontinence. He has a sub-specialist interest in reconstructive urology. At Frimley he has established a urethroplasty practice, introduced Optilume and manages patients requiring reconstructive surgery to the urinary tract due to scarring or injury. He is an honorary consultant at St Richards Hospital, Chichester where he implants AUS and male slings to help patients with incontinence after prostate treatment. In his spare time Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife and young family enjoying activities together including the Parkrun, swimming, golf and tennis.
Andrew was raised locally and qualified with honours from Sheffield University in 2007. He completed urology training in the south-east of England and was awarded the Gold medal in the FRCS (Urol) exam. This was followed by an overseas fellowship in uro-oncology, endo-urology and reconstructive urology at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, South Australia, including accreditation with the Da Vinci Xi robotic platform. He was appointed as a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Frimley Park in 2018.

Andrew has published over 30 peer reviewed journal articles, 4 textbook chapters and in 2022 'Oncall in urology' was released which he co-authored. He gets asks to present regularly at regional and national meetings. He maintains a strong commitment to education and training, is an assigned education supervisor to the regional urology trainees and has held two anatomy demonstrator posts (Sheffield and London). At Frimley Park he is the undergraduate lead for Southampton medical students during their surgery attachments.
