Mr. Amr Emara is a leading Consultant Urologist and Professor of Urology, internationally recognised for his expertise in advanced, minimally invasive treatments for prostate and kidney conditions. With dual doctoral qualifications (Master’s and PhD) and fellowships from both the European Board of Urology and the Royal College of Surgeons of England, he combines academic excellence with cutting-edge clinical practice.
In addition to his clinical work, Mr. Emara is an active academic with over 100 peer-reviewed publications, an international lecturer, and a supervisor of doctoral research. He holds a Professorship of Urology at Ain Shams University, Cairo.
He specialises in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), offering state-of-the-art therapies including GreenLight Laser, Rezum (steam therapy), and Aquablation. As a pioneer of minimally invasive prostate treatments in the UK, he has played a key role in introducing and advancing these technologies, delivering effective outcomes with faster recovery and reduced side effects.
A highly experienced uro-oncological surgeon. Mr. Emara has performed over 1,500 laparoscopic kidney surgeries and is the first urologist in the UK to utilise the latest Da Vinci (five) robotic system. He is also a core member of the specialist focal therapy team, with particular expertise in MRI-guided prostate diagnostic and targeted treatment such as HIFU, enabling personalised, organ-preserving cancer care.
