Mr Ammar Abbas is a highly experienced Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon with subspecialist expertise in hip and knee replacement surgery. He is a high-volume arthroplasty surgeon with an established track record of excellent clinical outcomes and low complication rates, as recognised by national audit data. 

He completed eight years of structured higher surgical training in Trauma and Orthopaedics in Ireland, followed by advanced fellowship training in lower limb reconstructive surgery at the University Hospital of Wales—one of the UK’s leading tertiary orthopaedic centres. 

Mr Abbas is a Consultant at University Hospital Hairmyres, NHS Lanarkshire, and also practices in the independent sector. His NHS and private practice focus on delivering high-quality, patient-centred care, particularly in hip and knee arthroplasty.
