He is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Circle Priory Hospital Edgbaston, specialising in the full spectrum of adult hip and knee disorders. He also works as a full-time NHS Consultant in Arthroplasty at University Hospitals of Birmingham. Before returning to Birmingham, he established a highly regarded consultant practice at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton.
He holds the title of Honorary Associate Clinical Professor within the Institute of Clinical Sciences at the College of Medical and Dental Sciences, University of Birmingham, and previously served as an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Leicester.

His clinical practice encompasses primary hip and knee replacements, with advanced expertise in the management of complex and failed joint replacements. He performs hip replacement, knee replacement, revision hip and knee procedures, and knee arthroscopy.

He completed his early surgical training at University Hospital Lewisham in southeast London, achieving MRCS. His higher orthopaedic training was undertaken on the prestigious Birmingham Orthopaedic Training Programme, culminating in FRCS (Trauma & Orthopaedics) and CCST. He further refined his expertise through a fellowship in Advanced Arthroplasty at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.

He adopts the posterior approach for hip replacement surgery, preserving abductor muscle function to promote faster recovery and excellent long-term outcomes. He integrates advanced digital templating software for precise surgical planning and delivers enhanced recovery programmes for hip and knee arthroplasty to ensure safe, efficient rehabilitation.
He is an expert in Robotic assisted hip and knee replacement to add precision and accuracy to the surgery using cutting edge advanced technology.

He has presented at national and international meetings, published widely in scientific journals, and contributes extensively to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
He is Hip and Knee arthroplasty lead and NJR lead for University hospitals Birmingham.

He is Regional clinical coordinator of Midlands for National Joint registry.
He supervises Post CCT arthroplasty Fellowship training consultants in advanced arthroplasty skills.
