About Dr Amer Al-Joudeh

Background
Mr Al-Joudeh is a Consultant Hepatologist and Gastroenterologist at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals and Honorary Clinical Lecturer with the University of Sheffield, with a private practice at Thornbury Hospital.
He is a member of the hepato-biliary cancer multi-disciplinary team and the lead for the liver cancer service in the department of Hepatology at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. He qualified from the medical school in the University of Damascus, Syria and completed his specialist training in hepatology & gastroenterology in South Yorkshire including a dedicated hepatology training fellowship in Leeds and Sheffield.
Special Interests
Mr Al-Joudeh has a special interest in the management of fatty liver disease, developing management pathways. He offers comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures which assist in the management of gastrointestinal and biliary diseases.
He manages patients with early and advanced liver, biliary and gastrointestinal diseases, He is an experienced endoscopist offering upper, lower gastrointestinal endoscopy and ERCP.
