Dr Amanda Keeling is a highly experienced General Practitioner with over 20 years’ experience providing compassionate, patient-centred care. Having qualified from University College London Medical School in 2001, following an intercalated BSc in Neuroscience, Dr Keeling has dedicated her career to helping patients of all ages achieve and maintain better health through a holistic and personalised approach to medicine.
Growing up locally in Kent, Dr Keeling completed her GP training at William Harvey Hospital and in a Folkestone GP practice, gaining her Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) in 2006. Her passion for General Practice stems from the opportunity to care for patients throughout every stage of life, building trusted relationships and providing continuity of care that supports long-term health and wellbeing.
Dr Keeling has particular expertise in women’s health, including menopause management and hormone replacement therapy (HRT), and leads on prolapse management within her NHS practice. She also holds the Diploma in Child Health (DCH), reflecting her longstanding interest in paediatrics and family medicine. Her broad experience enables her to provide expert guidance on a wide range of health concerns, from acute illnesses and chronic conditions to preventative healthcare and health optimisation.
Alongside General Practice, Dr Keeling spent several years working in Occupational Medicine, earning a Diploma in Occupational Medicine and advising both employees and employers on health-related matters. This experience gives her valuable insight into the impact health can have on work, lifestyle and overall wellbeing, helping patients navigate both personal and professional challenges associated with their health.
More recently, Dr Keeling has developed a specialist interest in neurodiversity, including ADHD and autism, and their overlap with other medical conditions. She is a member of the British Association for Neurodiversity and has particular knowledge of conditions increasingly associated with neurodiversity, including hypermobility and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). She is passionate about helping patients understand their symptoms, explore appropriate diagnostic pathways and access effective support.
At the heart of Dr Keeling’s practice is a belief that healthcare should focus on the whole person, not just individual symptoms. She takes time to listen, understand each patient’s unique circumstances and work collaboratively to develop personalised treatment and wellbeing plans.
Whether you are seeking a private GP appointment, a comprehensive health assessment, support with a long-term condition or expert advice on women’s health or neurodiversity, Dr Keeling offers thoughtful, thorough and patient-focused care to help you take control of your health with confidence.
Please note: Dr Keeling does not offer weight loss prescribing services.
