Ahmed Mustafa is a consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. After completing a basic surgical training in Edinburgh and Fife, Mr Mustafa took a one-year research fellow in the department of Surgery and Molecular Oncology, University of Dundee. Following which, completed higher surgical training with special interest in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery in Ninewells Hospital, Dundee and Western General Hospital, Edinburgh.
During this training, Mr Mustafa completed an MSc degree in Surgical Science, University of Kent with merit.
Mr Mustafa was appointed as a consultant surgeon with special interest in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery in 2013, Borders General Hospital, Melrose. During this appointment, he led the breast cancer services in NHS Borders and practiced Oncoplastic Breast Surgery at Spire Murrayfield Hospital, Edinburgh until moving to Aberdeen Breast Unit in 2020.
