About Mr Ahmed Mustafa

Personal Profile

Mr Ahmed Mustafa is a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. He began his surgical career with basic training in Edinburgh and Fife, followed by a one-year research fellowship in the Department of Surgery and Molecular Oncology at the University of Dundee.

He then completed higher surgical training with a focus on Oncoplastic Breast Surgery at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee and the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh. During this time, he also earned an MSc in Surgical Science from the University of Kent, graduating with merit.

In 2013, Mr. Mustafa was appointed as a Consultant Surgeon with a special interest in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery at Borders General Hospital in Melrose. There, he led the breast cancer service for NHS Borders and also practiced at Spire Murrayfield Hospital in Edinburgh.

In 2020, he joined the Aberdeen Breast Unit, where he continues to provide expert care in oncoplastic breast surgery.
