Personal Profile

Mr Qureshi is a substantive General and Colorectal consultant surgeon at MKUH. He is also JAG accredited lower GI endoscopist.

Mr Qureshi qualified in 2001. After completing his surgical training in Pakistan he completed higher surgical training in UK with further specialist interest in minimally invasive colorectal surgery. His research work includes looking at etiologies of intestinal obstruction. He has presented his reach work at national and international conferences and has trained in west midland and Leicester deaneries.

Mr Qureshi has more than 10 year experience working in the NHS as a surgeon.  He has worked as consultant colorectal surgeon at Northampton General and The University Hospital of Coventry & Warwickshire. More recently he moved his practice to Milton Keynes where he now runs his NHS practice at MKUH and sees private self-funding and insured patients at The Saxon Clinic.

Mr Qureshi deals with the wide range of general and colorectal conditions but has a specialist interest in colorectal cancer and surgery for inflammatory bowel disease. He is Lead Surgeon for inflammatory bowel disease surgery at MKUH and is also fully trained in minimally invasive (laparoscopic) and robotic surgery.

Mr Qureshi has extensive experience performing laparoscopic groin and ventral hernias, abdominal wall reconstruction and laparoscopic gallbladder surgery and acts as Chair of the complex abdominal wall hernia Multidisciplinary team at MKUH.
